Y'all know that chickens will eat any bug they can get don't you?  If it's a choice between the grain you feed them or a nice juicy bug they will take the bug every time.

Chickens would prefer to run around behind cows or rather all but under cows looking up with their beaks wide open waiting for a fresh meal.

And people love free ranging chicken. I dunno about eating bugs, I think the crunchiness would get me. Texture is a big part of delectability.  Right now buds are not high on my list of cravings. I suppose if I had to  (M/. I dunno kinda like the people who get pinned under a rock or a tree and use a pen knife to cut off their arm or foot.  I think I'd rather die!

I went to J.E.S.T jungle escape survival raining in the Philippines in 1969 they had a lot of strange food that week, but I flew with confidence after that knowing my flight suit pockets were filled with edible snacks to keep me going a week. )J%

Dangnabit, I just got a quart of fresh slow dried skeeters out of the two mosquito magnets and I has hoping there would be a recipe or two out there. Could I melt down a couple jumbo snickers or two and mix them in for a high protein bar?

Ha ha ha..... I suppose if I was starving.....  (M/   naaaaaaaa I'd die

Of course lobster is just a big insect!!!!!

That's as long as we have an option. I guess we never know what we'll do until faced with it.  I eat lobster as long as I don't really think about it too much. It really is just a big bug.  As a kid I wouldn't go near one. Maybe I knew more then  (M/  Of course if you ever dissected a clam in biology class. They're pretty gross too. People eat raw oysters although I never could. Ever see that show on the travel channel about the guy who went around the world eating weird food.  he ate alot of insects animal entrails and such stuff.

The closest thing I'll eat to oysters is scallops and they have to be cooked right. Shrimp, crab, lobster, crawfish oh yeah.

Yea scallops can't be cooked too much either or they harden. Shrimp and crawfish are really just big insects too. I started eating clams deep fried first, then lobsters out of the shell in sauce then... well lobsters go down the hatch now without much thought. When we go to Maine I relish a three pound lobster. Yum

I was the same way, I wouldn't touch crustaceans when I was younger, had my first taste of lobster at an Army dining facility when I was about 28, had my first crawdads a few yrs ago when I married my wife ( her family is from Louisiana). Not my first choice of food, but I can eat em now.

You would be surprised what you'd eat when you are hungry, not many folks around who have ever been REALLY hungry.
